There's a big temptation to start showing off these glorious pages as they arrive back from Athens, but that would spoil the surprise. So here's one little peek at an awestruck London audience getting their first up close and personal experience of how the green comet will be changing their lives in Mirabilis: Spring.

This is Fair’s second novel for pre-teens/young adults, published in 1976.
It has a number of similarities with her previous book, The Ivory Anvil, in

You're playing fast and loose with our endorphins Dave.
ReplyDeleteHmmmfffff!!!!
Well, Peter, maybe we'll just show off those first few pages over the weeks ahead. Once Nikos gets back from his hols and finishes them, that is.
ReplyDeleteDave, very exciting news! Do you have any further updates on when the hardback book will hit Amazon. Also, is Winter vol 2 also coming out in hardback in the UK?
ReplyDeleteThanks
Gavin
Ah, the hardback... There's a sore point, Gavin. I know that the first print run is in the UK. So that's several thousand beautiful copies sitting in a warehouse somewhere. But so they must remain until distribution arrangements get them onto Amazon and into bookshops - if there are any retail bookshops left by the time they come out!
ReplyDeleteWe have a deal for Winter vol 2, but I wouldn't expect the publisher to go ahead with that until distribution kicks in for vol 1. Of course, paperback editions are available on Amazon.com, and those are nice - just not so swish as the mythical hardback :-/
There are copies on Ebay here:

Decided I couldn't wait any longer - I've ordered vols 1 and 2 in paperback.
ReplyDeleteGood call. And if you should feel like putting up a review on Amazon... ;)
